The Real Reason we Hate the Gym

Painful Gym Experience, with a Mega Solution

We hate the gym. And when we say we hate the gym, we don’t mean working out in general. We hate the pain associated with other workouts. Basically we’re saying we hate anything other than Lagree Fitness. And we’re not just saying this because we love Studio Physique (duh).

Hear us out…

Maybe you’re totally new to working out and have only dabbled in the Lagree Fitness method on the Megaformer and nothing else (lucky you). But if this is not then case then I’m sure you can relate to the pain associated with other workout methods.

Clicking Hips

We’ve talked to a number of our members at Studio Physique and something a TON of women have complained about is a painful clicking or pinching in their hips. Their story sounds the same: Before discovering the low-impact, highly stretch focused workout at Studio Physique, all of these women had difficulty working out. Difficulty squatting because of a pinching sensation in the hip. Difficulty lunging into full depth because of tight hip flexors. Pain in the hips can be attributed to weak glutes and weak core, as well as shortened hip flexors from sitting in a neutral position at a desk all day. With a little help from the Megaformer, our members reported a SIGNIFICANT difference in the flexibility and pain they experienced while squatting and lunging. In fact, many had forgotten about their pain altogether!

Sore Back

The Megaformer is unique because it targets the core in ways that (not to brag), but no other machine or workout method can even touch. We’ve worked out with other fitness junkies at other gyms and let’s just say we always beat them in a planking contest. We hate other gyms because very few focus on a strong core like Studio Physique does. A strong core is vital for a healthy back. If you’ve ever left a core-centric class at Studio Physique and felt a little of that “good sore” in your lower back, congratulations. You just worked a muscle that you’ve never worked before. This muscle alleviates back pain, corrects issues with posture, strengthens your pelvic floor muscles and is your ticket to increased flexibility.

Tight Hamstrings

You try to bend over to touch our toes and WHOOPS, you fall a little short and can barely touch your ankles. We’ve all been there before. Blame this on tight hamstrings. Tight or shortened  hamstrings can be attributed to weak glute muscles. Lack of hamstring mobility has affected us all at one point or another unless you’re a crazy flexible ballerina who’s been stretching her whole life. The Lagree Fitness method targets your gluteus muscles in almost every single leg exercise, which in turn allows your hamstrings to lengthen.
